October 20, 2014

Hey! This week has been good. I’ve mostly recovered from my cold. Everybody is freaking out about Ebola and things are still moving forward in this little slice of Heaven called Shelton….

Well, Tiffany is still on a date for October 25th to be baptized. She has begun her final push to quit smoking and we are really proud of her. We also have one lesson left to teach her and then her interview so we are really looking forward to that.

Josh is also moving along nicely. He wasn’t able to make it to church this week but we will forgive him for that. We have a church tour scheduled with him this Wednesday and he has also told us that he will have a date picked out to be baptized when we see him. So you could say that he’s almost on date.

Bill wasn’t at church this Sunday so we were disappointed but we have plans to see him this week and discuss that with him as well. Hopefully we will also teach him the first discussion.

We also had an awesome experience Sunday while we were out tracting. We met a young couple who were dropping off their kids at their parents’ house so that they could have some alone time together. As we approached them they were very cordial toward us and we were able to have a great discussion about our beliefs. We have an appointment set up to meet at their home Thursday night to continue our discussion and hopefully it becomes an opportunity to invite them to learn more about the Gospel and what we have to teach.

Anyway, there’s a bit for this week. I love you all and hope to hear from all of you!
