Things this past couple of weeks have been very interesting. Our investigators have been progressing well here. M still hasn’t decided to get baptized due to her fear of not being able to see her nephew and of being disowned by her family. J has now been taught all the lessons and now we are working to push his baptismal date forward into this year because his date is set for March of 2015.
We were able to put B and his son on date to be baptized for the 27th of December just to give them a goal to work towards. He seems to be the drama king of the group so we have to work on him a lot just to get anywhere with him. T our recent convert is still struggling with challenges in her life, but she’s moving forward slowly but surely. It’s been really interesting giving life guidance to a 35-year-old woman with 3 kids.
I’ve been asked by one of the sisters in the other district to sing a song with them in transfer meeting. So I’m pretty sure that I’ll be leaving at the end of this transfer. I’m alright with that except for the fact that I’ll be transferred into a new area 2 days before Thanksgiving so that’s the only really annoying part.
We have been working with a couple of potential investigators that we will be seeing this week. We will be getting our transfer calls this Saturday. We have also been having a 2 week streak of Utah weather; dry, no snow and very cold. It’s killing my nose.
Any who, things are good!
Love, Elder Kody Kitchin
